On Sept. 23 at 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the 4700 block of Crain Highway in White Plains for the report of an assault in progress.
Investigation revealed the suspect, a 24-year-old Waldorf woman, struck her 5-year-old daughter in the face, causing her daughter’s nose to bleed. When a witness tried to intervene, the suspect spit on him and punched him.
The suspect was arrested and charged with second-degree child abuse and two counts of assault. Her name is not being released to protect the identity of her daughter.
