Woman Trapped And Injured Following Serious Collision In White Plains

WHITE PLAINS, Md. — Emergency personnel responded to a serious motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Crain Highway and Willetts Crossing Road at approximately 12:17 a.m., May 26, 2024.

A 911 caller reported that a vehicle had run a red light. The female driver was initially unresponsive and not breathing, according to the caller.

Upon arrival at the scene, crews found a two-vehicle collision. The female driver was now conscious but heavily trapped in her vehicle and sustained significant injuries.

Firefighters successfully extricated the trapped woman, who was then handed over to emergency medical services for treatment. EMS evaluated the 30-year-old woman on-site before transporting her to UM Capital Region Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
