California, MD— On May 26, St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office Dfc. Flerlage responded to Walmart located at Miramar Way in California in regards to a theft.ย

When Flerlage made contact with the store’s loss prevention office, it was advised, “a female and male enteredย the store and went to the electronics department,” according to charging documents. Once in the electronics department, the male loaded a television into the cart the female was pushing. Both walked past all points of sale with the television in the cart.ย

The two suspects placed the television in a vehicleย before leaving the area in an unknown direction. The loss prevention office provided Flerlage with the video surveillance tape. Flerlage identifiedย the female in the video as Heather M. Maples, 31 of Lexington Park.ย

On June 6, Flerlage was able to make contact with Maples and the male, who was identified as Richard P. Bond, 33 of no fixed address. Maples stated, “that she did take the television from Walmart and was unsure where it is at now,” according to charging documents.
