On August 9, Deputy George responded to Edgar Way in Lexington Park, for a report of a man with a gun call.
Investigation revealed the gun in question was an air gun and there was no violation of the law. As Deputy George was attempting to investigate the situation, Sheryl Christine Price, 44 of Lexington Park, approached yelling profanity at the deputy. Price was using profane language as she yelled that the gun was only a toy and that no one was doing anything wrong. Deputy George asked Price several times to lower her voice but she refused. Deputy George told Price that he realized the gun was only an air gun and that there was no violation of the law but Price continued to yell profanity and refused to calm her disorderly behavior.
Price’s yelling and disorderly behavior gained the attention from other residents in the neighborhood who exited their homes to watch the activity.
Price was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
