LUSBY, Md. – On Aug. 3, 2026, Jasier Isai Aparicio, 16, of Lusby, was sentenced to life incarceration, with all but 18 years suspended, for attempted first-degree murder. The sentence was handed down by Calvert County Circuit Court Judge Mark S. Chandlee.
The charge stems from a shooting that occurred on June 5, 2025, in the White Sands area of Lusby. Investigators from the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office determined that Aparicio conspired with two other individuals to rob 24-year-old Alexis Commodore. During the incident, Aparicio shot the victim in the back. She survived. Aparicio and his accomplices were arrested a short time later.
This case was prosecuted by Deputy State’s Attorney Christopher J. Monte and Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Benjamin G. Lerner.
