MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — Emergency crews are responding to a serious injury involving a horse Monday evening in Mechanicsville.
At approximately 7:07 p.m. Aug. 31, 2026, St. Mary’s County Fire and EMS personnel were dispatched to the 26000 block of Friendship School Road, near Three Notch Road and Friendship Court, for a reported traumatic injury.
Initial dispatch information indicates a 19-year-old woman was kicked in the jaw by a horse.
Due to the nature of her injuries, the patient was transported by Trooper 7 to MedStar Washington Hospital Center
Fire and EMS units remain on the scene.
