At 8 a.m. Dec. 18, DFC R. Wilson of the Calvert County Sheriffโs Office responded to Laurel Road in St. Leonard for a report of a theft from an auto.
While talking with the victim, the officer discovered that there were other victims in the surrounding area whose vehicles had been entered by unknown persons, located on Hillside Road, Black Cherry Lane, Wild Cherry Lane, Morello Way, Oak Crest Drive, and Bunch Lane in St. Leonard.
In total, 26 victimsโ vehicles were unlawfully entered, with either the contents of the vehicle being disturbed or items being stolen.ย The total loss amount is $1,513.00.
All of the vehicles were in the driveway of each victim and were unlocked. The thefts occurred overnight between Dec. 17 and Dec. 18.
