Alexandria, VA – As Halloween night approaches, organizations like the “National Center for Missing & Exploited Children” would like families to put safety first as they go out to trick-or-treat tonight.

Keep in mind these four simple tips to ensure a happy Halloween.

1. Plan out the trick-or-treat route in advance.

2. Walk children all the way up to the door of each home, and make sure older children go out in groups.

3. Remind kids to “Tell People ‘No’!” if someone tries to separate them from their trick-or-treating group.

4. Consider travelling with more than one trusted adult to assist in chaperoning larger groups of children.
