
HOLLYWOOD, Md. — A 5-year-old boy was airlifted Tuesday afternoon after falling from a second-floor window at a residence in Hollywood.
Emergency crews were dispatched at approximately 3:25 p.m. on March 10, 2026, to the 43500 block of Saint Johns Road for a reported pediatric fall.
According to emergency dispatch information, the fall was not witnessed and it was unclear when it occurred. The child was reported to be conscious and breathing when the incident was reported, with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
EMS personnel arrived and evaluated the child at the scene. Due to the nature of the injuries and the patient’s age, a medical helicopter was requested.
Firefighters established a landing zone nearby for Maryland State Police Trooper 7, which transported the child to Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., for further evaluation and treatment.
