golf cart crash maryland

NEWBURG, Md. — A 52-year-old man was taken to the hospital Saturday evening after a golf cart struck a tree in Newburg.

Emergency crews were dispatched around 7:10 p.m. Aug. 1, 2026, to the 15200 block of Hatton Landing Drive.

Initial reports indicated the man was bleeding from the head but remained conscious, alert and breathing following the crash.

Because the scene was initially reported in difficult-to-access terrain, additional rescue units were requested. Responders later learned the patient had been moved to a nearby home, and most of the additional units were canceled.

The man was transported by ambulance to UM Charles Regional Medical Center for treatment.
