
NEWBURG, Md. – On January 2, detectives assigned to the Narcotics Enforcement Section served a search warrant which included a vehicle and a residence in the 12200 block of King Farm Place in Newburg.
A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle listed on the warrant, and detectives recovered approximately $2,000 worth of cocaine, cash, packaging materials, and a fully loaded firearm. The driver, Donnie David Campbell, age 63, of no fixed address, and passenger, Kelvin Nathaniel Marshall, age 64, of Newburg, were arrested.
Each was charged with illegal possession of a firearm due to a prior felony conviction, drug trafficking with a firearm, possession with the intent to distribute drugs, possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle, and other related offenses.
They are both currently being held at the Charles County Detention Center without bond. The investigation is ongoing.
