PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — A Prince Frederick man faces multiple misdemeanor charges after deputies responded to a reported trespassing call at a convenience store and later recovered suspected controlled dangerous substances and drug paraphernalia during a search incident to arrest, according to court records.
Matthew Leo Greening, 37, of no fixed address, was arrested Jan. 3, 2026, after Calvert County sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported trespassing at the 7-Eleven located at 15 N. Solomons Island Road.
According to charging documents, Deputy Campbell determined Greening had previously been trespassed indefinitely from the property. Store management confirmed the notice remained in effect, and Greening was advised of the trespass before being taken into custody without incident.
During a search incident to arrest, deputies reported locating multiple plastic tear-offs and folded pieces of tin foil containing residue believed to be crack cocaine. Court records also state deputies recovered 19 Gabapentin capsules for which Greening did not have a prescription.
Based on the items recovered, Greening was charged with one count of trespass on private property, one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not cannabis, and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, all charged as misdemeanors.
Greening was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center following his arrest. Court records indicate he was released the same day on an unsecured personal bond set at $1,500.
A trial scheduling hearing is set for Feb. 18 in Calvert District Court.
