PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Are you a farmer or vendor? Now is your chance to participate in farmers markets around Calvert County for the 2026 season.
The Farmers Market Association is looking for vendors for the markets in Prince Frederick and Dunkirk. They’re specifically seeking growers, producers and cottage food bakers.
Anyone interested in participating can apply through the online form. Applications can be submitted through the season. Paper applications are also available by request from the Calvert County Department of Economic Development, which can be reached at 410-535-4583 or info@choosecalvert.com.
The Dunkirk Farmers Market will be held on Thursdays from 2:30-5:30 p.m., May 21 to Sept. 3 at Dunkirk District Park. The Prince Frederick market will be held on Tuesdays from 2-5:30 p.m., April 28 to Nov. 24, 2026, at Calvert Health Medical Center. The Farmers Market Association hosts a third market on Saturdays in North Beach, which does not appear to be seeking new vendors at this time.
Farmers markets offer a great opportunity for local business owners to showcase and sell their products. This is especially important in a rural area like Calvert, which depends on independent agriculture for a healthy economy.
