
LA PLATA, Md. — Four people, including a 7-year-old girl, were injured Wednesday morning after a vehicle crashed into an unoccupied school bus near the railroad tracks on Rosewick Road in La Plata.
The crash was reported around 9:18 a.m. June 3, 2026, in the area of Rosewick Road and the railroad tracks. The crash involved a car and a school bus, with only the bus driver on the bus at the time.
EMS evaulated multiple patients on the scene and requested a medevac for the 7-year-old girl.
The child was flown by MSPAC Trooper 7 to Children’s National Hospital with serious injuries.
A 32-year-old man was transported to UM Capital Region Medical Center with serious injuries.
A 61-year-old woman and a 65-year-old woman were transported to UM Charles Regional Medical Center with less serious injuries.
Rosewick Road was temporarily closed in both directions while emergency crews operated at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
