PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — The CalvertHealth Foundation invites the community to celebrate summer on the Chesapeake Bay at its newest fundraising event, Soirée by the Bay, on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at the newly renovated Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort in Chesapeake Beach.
Set against the backdrop of the waterfront at sunset, Soirée by the Bay will feature local cuisine, handcrafted martinis, live music by The Famous Hubcaps and an evening of connection and community — all in support of CalvertHealth’s mission to improve the health and well-being of those they serve.
The event will bring together community leaders, business partners, healthcare supporters and residents for a memorable evening benefiting programs, services and initiatives that help CalvertHealth continue to meet the growing healthcare needs of Southern Maryland.
“We wanted to create an event that reflects the spirit of our community while supporting a cause that touches every family in Calvert County,” said Bob Carpenter, vice chair of the CalvertHealth Foundation Board and chair of the Soirée by the Bay planning committee. “This evening is about celebrating the people, partnerships and generosity that make exceptional health care possible right here at home. We are grateful to our sponsors, supporters and attendees whose commitment helps ensure CalvertHealth can continue delivering high-quality care for generations to come.”
Proceeds from Soirée by the Bay will support CalvertHealth’s ongoing efforts to enhance patient care, expand access to services and invest in the future of health care throughout the region.
