The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs have unveiled an all-new website interface in preparation for the 2015 season.
Featuring an all-new color-scheme and reorganized layout, the Blue Crabs have created a brand new website for fans to enjoy an aesthetically pleasing experience as they read articles, team updates, promotional content and purchase tickets and merchandise. The new layout also features an adaptive design that makes browsing on desktops, tablets and phones a seamless process.
In addition to changes in design, the new Blue Crabs website includes an all-new online ticketing system that is easier and faster to navigate than previous iterations. Additionally, transaction fees have been lowered to 75 cents per online transaction as opposed to the $1.25 transaction fee that was assessed with purchases made on the previous ticketing platform.
The Blue Crabs website, which can be found by visiting www.somdbluecrabs.com, received its most recent overall design update prior to the 2012 season. This update represents the third time the team has rolled-out a new website design since the Blue Crabs homepage launched in 2008. Fans are encouraged to submit feedback as they explore different aspects of the website.
“While our main focus remains on affordable family entertainment, it is always exciting to be able to keep our organization at the forefront of online capabilities,” said Blue Crabs General Manager Patrick Day. “Giving our fans the best experience possible both at the stadium and on our website is our top priority, and I believe that this new update does just that.”
The Blue Crabs play 140 regular season games in the Atlantic League, considered the highest level of Minor League Baseball. Atlantic League players are “Major League ready” and in the last 16 years, over 600 players have graduated from Atlantic League clubs to Major League organizations, making the League a preferred route for experienced players to be scouted by Major League Baseball.
