04/22/17 – 1st Degree Escape – Cpl. B. Foor responded to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center in Leonardtown, MD, for the report of an attempted escape by suspect inmate John Robert Garner, 35 of Mechanicsville, MD. The investigation revealed that Garner concealed himself inside of a food tray cart that was removed from his housing unit at the conclusion of lunch. The suspect remained concealed inside of the cart when he was subsequently discovered by Correctional Officer Hersh. The suspect was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Escape. CCN# 21565-17
