Units responded to an apartment in flames on June 14 at about 12:55 a.m. on Foxchase Drive in Great Mills.
According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal an unknown subject forced entry into an unoccupied apartment and intentionally set multiple fires in the bedroom and living room area.
21 firefighters from Bay District, Hollywood, Second District Volunteer Fire Departments and NDW Patuxent River Fire Department responded and controlled the fire in about five minutes.
Damage is estimated at $5,000. No injuries were reported in the fire.
