On Dec. 26, at 1:47 a.m., Howard Mitchell White Jr., 24 of Clinton, was arrested by Tpr. G. Thompson for possession of marijuana. White was operating a gray Dodge Charger on southbound Three Notch Road in Mechanicsville when it was stopped on Thompson Corner Road for exceeding the posted speed limit.
Upon contact with the driver, White, a strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. White was found to be in possession of a blue plastic bag containing marijuana. White was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
