WALDORF, Md. — A woman was injured Saturday night after an SUV overturned in a two‑vehicle crash, prompting a multi‑unit emergency response and transport to a regional trauma center.
The crash was reported last night at 9:40 p.m. on April 18 after callers advised that an SUV had flipped over, and bystanders had repositioned the vehicle back onto its wheels before first responders arrived.
Medical personnel located one patient from the overturned vehicle, a 60‑year‑old female who was conscious, semi‑alert, and breathing, and reported significant arm pain with a possible fracture. The second vehicle involved reported no injuries.
The unit first marked in route to University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, then diverted to MedStar Trauma Center for higher‑level evaluation and care. Updated unit traffic listed the patient as a 50‑year‑old female with no broken bones or concussion.
The incident is under investigation.
