Detectives identified Danielyn Winder as a distributor of cocaine throughout Southern Maryland to include St. Maryโ€™s County. Undercover purchases of cocaine were conducted and detectives obtained a search and seizure warrant for the targetโ€™s person and vehicle. Detectives observed Suspect Winder on Great Mills Road and a Vice/Narcotics Support Team Deputy made contact with him, placing him into custody pending execution of the search warrants. Suspect Winder, while handcuffed, fled on foot and was caught after a short chase by undercover officers.

A search of Suspect Winderโ€™s person and his vehicle yielded 66 individually packaged baggies of crack cocaine and two additional bags of both power and โ€œcrack cocaineโ€ totaling approximately $8,000. In addition to the cocaine, multiple bottles of โ€œPromethazineโ€ and more than two and half ounces of marijuana, three cellular phones and nearly $3,000 in cash were recovered. Detective also seized Suspect Winderโ€™s 2001 Toyota. Suspect Winder is currently out on bail in Calvert County for โ€œPossession with Intent to Distributeโ€ and is scheduled to stand trial on those charges on December 9th, 2015. Additional charges are expected after the investigation is reviewed with Stateโ€™s Attorney Richard D. Fritz.
