WALDORF, Md. — A 20-year-old was airlifted to a trauma center after being struck by a dirt bike Tuesday evening in Waldorf.

The incident was reported at approximately 8:38 p.m. on April 14, 2026, in the area of Billingsley Road and St. Francis Drive. Initial reports indicated a pedestrian had been hit by a dirt bike.

Emergency responders arrived to find the patient alert and suffering from serious injuries, including a possible broken leg and arm.

Due to the extent of the injuries, the patient was classified as Priority 2, indicating serious but not immediately life-threatening conditions.

Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 2 was requested, and the patient was flown to MedStar Washington Hospital Center for further treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
