At 12:05 p.m. April 17, 2006 at 12:05 pm, TFC J. Linger of the Leonardtown trooper barrack responded to Myrtle Point Park, California, to check the welfare of occupants which were parked at the rear of the park.
Upon contact with the driver, Joshua Ralph Demmick, 19, of Lexington Park, loose pieces of marijuana were observed on his clothing. A probable cause search was conducted.
A bag of marijuana and a ceramic smoking device, with marijuana residue, was located in his jacket pocket. A search of the vehicle revealed Xanax pills in the ashtray, for which he had no prescription.
Demmick was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Xanax, and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center and held pending a bail review.
