ย At 3:30 p.m. Feb. 26, Trooper C. Evans attempted to initiate a traffic stop on southbound Route 235, south of Route 245 on a red Dodge Intrepid, because the driver, later identified as Jeffrey Neil Shade, 23, of Hollywood, was not restrained by a seat belt.

ย Tpr. C. Evans observed the occupants throw several plastic bags from the vehicle as it was traveling south on Route 235.ย  The vehicle was stopped on a dirt road off Sandy Bottom Road in Hollywood.

ย Contact was made with the driver and the two passengers who were identified as Marcus Tyrek Chase, 22, of Mechanicsville and Ricardo Antoine Edgston, 23, of Hollywood.

ย A strong odor of Marijuana was detected on the occupants and was also coming from inside the vehicle.ย  During the course of the traffic stop, the items thrown from the vehicle on Route 235 were located and identified as two plastic bags of Marijuana and one bag of Cocaine.

ย All three men were arrested for possession of Cocaine and possession of Marijuana.ย  All three were taken to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center where they were detained pending a bond review.
