To our members and the community. We need your help for a few minutes this Sunday at our firehouse. Adam Lumpkins is only 5-years-old and he’s in need desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. His Leukemia has returned and the transplant donor is needed immediately. Adam’s family has been in the volunteer fire service in So. Md for decades in Charles County. His mom is a Charles County paramedic, his dad is a federal fireman and his grandparents are active members in Mechanicsville. They hope Adam can one day be a volunteer in Southern Maryland too.
PFVFD is hosting the swab test this Sunday, Dec. 9 from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. It’s easy, it’s simple, it’s free. All you have to do is give a few minutes of your time. Stations in Charles County have done this event, but so far there has not been a match.
Our station is located next to the Holiday Inn in Prince Frederick. We hope to see you and your families there.
