On the eve of March 1, United Way of Calvert County’s Mardi Gras gala blazed a new trail at Annmarie Sculpture Garden & Arts Center. Just a few days shy of the Fat Tuesday holiday, Mardi Gras “In the Garden” attracted 340 attendees and resulted in resounding applause from longtime revelers. Fantasy World Entertainment co-owner Brooks Grady gave it high regards, “Great party…best ever!” and Executive Director of Asbury Solomons, Andrew Applegate boasted it was “an exceptional event” and “well done.”
