All the Positive Energy: Dragonfly Crystal Store In Prince Frederick Hosts Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — One thing is certain about the Dragonfly Crystal Store in Prince Frederick. It’s a place that just makes you happy.

The store celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside friends, family and county officials on May 1. Owner and Reiki master Kissy Figueroa welcomed the community to the store to learn more about Reiki and explore her carefully cultivated collection of healing crystals, jewelry and more.

Figueroa said her store has been open for about six months. In an interview with The BayNet, she said it’s been a journey of faith, growth and healing, and to be able to finally share this space with the community feels both “surreal and deeply fulfilling.”

“My intention has always been to create a place where people can feel supported, grounded and inspired — and being able to officially welcome everyone into that energy was incredibly special,” Figueroa wrote. “I’m beyond grateful for the love and support from the community, and I’m excited for what’s to come.”

Members of the Calvert County Department of Economic Development were also in attendance. The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) presented Figueroa with her certificate of congratulations and welcomed her to the business community of Calvert.

Figueroa took photos with friends and family and shared many heartfelt hugs before welcoming everyone into the store — a beautiful, calming space that instantly lifted our spirits.

One customer said she comes in daily for her “dose of joy,” and several shoppers commented on the high-quality crystals and the shop’s incredibly welcoming positive energy.

This ribbon-cutting was a heartful, joyful event, and we loved seeing all the support for Figueroa. It was exactly the right way to spend a sunny Friday afternoon.
