PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. — Amanda Dolina (R) was sworn in as the new treasurer of Calvert County at the July 22 Board of County Commissioners meeting. The treasurer is responsible for overseeing the collection and disbursement of county funds and maintaining financial accountability in service to Calvert County residents.
The former treasurer, Nova Tracy-Soper (R), retired in May after 30 years of service. Dolina was appointed on July 9 by Gov. Wes Moore and will serve through the end of the unexpired term, ending in 2026. The position will be back on the ballot for the 2026 general election.
Dolina is a CPA and founder of West Bridge Financial Solutions in Chesapeake Beach. She has 15 years of experience in public finance and serves on the board of Republican Women Leaders of Calvert County. She also volunteers with nonprofits and works to increase financial literacy in the community.
Clerk of the Court Kathy Smith swore Dolina in as she promised to uphold the Constitution and swore allegiance to the state of Maryland.
“I’m so excited to be here and use this time in my life to work with the people in Calvert County and truly serve them,” Dolina said in remarks after her swearing-in. “When this opportunity came up for me, I was just so excited. I’m a CPA, and not all of us are meant to do everything. Being able to use the skill set I’ve developed in my career to give back to the public is really exciting.”
Dolina added that she’s excited to see what she’ll get to work on in the next year and a half and is looking forward to seeing everyone on the campaign trail in 2026.
