Calvert Memorial Hospital will host their 6th annual 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, October 3. Participants can run or walk around beautiful Solomons Island and help raise funds for the Sheldon E. Goldberg Center for Breast Care.
Kasia Sweeney, associate vice president of corporate communication and client service, says, “Last year, close to 1,000 people participated. It’s fun, it’s local and it’s a great cause. Join us!”
You can register early (before September 25) at a discounted rate ($40) which guarantees you a t-shirt and allows you to pick up your packet ahead of time on Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 2 at the KeepWell Center.
Or you can pay the day of the race ($50). The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. with check-in beginning at 7 a.m. There will be a fun warm up with World Gym at 8 a.m.
All participants will be entered to win a Total Wellness Package (one-year World Gym membership, four consultations with a registered dietitian and four personal training sessions). You must be present to win.
