MECHANICSVILLE, Md. — A 22-year-old man was flown to a trauma center Thursday night after a serious crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Mechanicsville.
The crash was reported around 8:35 p.m. May 28, 2026, on Mechanicsville Road, near Carpenter Drive.
Emergency crews arrived to find an SUV, with the motorcycle under the SUV and the motorcycle operator ejected.
The motorcyclist suffered life-threatening injuries, and a medevac was requested.
Maryland State Police Aviation Command Trooper 2 responded and landed nearby. The patient was flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma Center for treatment.
Mechanicsville Road was closed between Golden Lane and Carpenter Drive while emergency crews operated at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
