ย On Feb. 27, Deputy Kevin Meyers observed a vehicle operating with a headlight out.ย  Deputy Meyers stopped the vehicle and contacted the driver, Dante Dean Thomas, 22 of Great Mills.

ย When asked to produce his driverโ€™s license Thomas told Deputy Meyers he did not have a license.ย  A computer check verified Thomas did not have a valid driverโ€™s license.

ย Thomas was arrested for driving without a license.ย  A search of the vehicle Thomas was driving, incident to the arrest, revealed plastic baggy containing suspected cocaine.

ย He was charged with driving without a license and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

ย At 12 p.m. Feb. 26, Daniel Thomas Hayden, 54, of Hollywood, was arrested for Theft under $100 and possession of prescription medications not prescribed to him.

ย Trooper Adams was patrolling Route 235 in the Hollywood area when he ran a routine NCIC/MVA check on the registration plates on vehicle Hayden was operating.ย  NCIC revealed the tags were stolen July 2007.

ย MVA check revealed Haydenโ€™s driving privileges are suspended. Hayden was placed under arrest for possession of the stolen tags.

ย A search incident to the arrest revealed he was also in possession of prescription medications not prescribed to him.ย  He was transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center where he was detained pending a bond review.

ย At 1:57 a.m. Feb. 25, Jermaine Dwayne Davis, 26, of Lexington Park, was arrested by TFC T. Quade for possession of Cocaine.

ย Davis was operating a black Mercury Sable on north bound Route 235 in the area of Exploration Park Drive when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit.

ย Upon contact with Davis, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emitting from his breath. Davis was subsequently arrested for DUI.

ย Davis was found to be in possession of Cocaine and was charged accordingly and transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.

ย At 2:16 a.m. Feb. 24, Joseph Parran Nelson, 27, of Mechanicsville, was arrested by TFC R. Rezza for possession of Marijuana and possession of CDS paraphernalia.

ย Nelson was operating a gray Ford Explorer on south bound Route 235 in the area of North Sandgates Road in Mechanicsville when he was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit. During the course of the traffic stop, Nelson was arrested for DUI.

ย He was also found to be in possession of a baggie of marijuana and a metal CDS smoking device.

ย Nelson was transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for DUI processing and subsequently transported to the St. Maryโ€™s County Detention Center where he was held pending a bond review.
