Many visitors from Southern Maryland, surrounding areas and even out of state flocked to Annmarie Garden for its Artsfest 2010. The event, taking place over the sunny end of summer weekend, Sept. 18 and 19, showcased more than 150 artists.

With live music on stage and also around the park, guests were treated to a true festival ambience. The event offered wine tasting, micro-brews and a great assortment of eats and treats from various food vendors.

Hands-on art activities in the Discovery Tent and the Zany Zone play area kept the kids engaged.

Artsfest attendees delighted in the one-of-a-kind crafts and original artworks. Many found unique jewelry, pottery, woodcrafts, woven apparel and home décor that they carried home with them.

One patron, visiting from Pennsylvania, said she was completing a large chunk of her Christmas shopping early at the Garden, adding, “You can simply find wonderful gifts here and some great things for yourself as well!”

Many artists were set up along the wooded path, creating works on the spot and telling interested attendees about their craft.
