At 12:45 p.m. Nov. 7, a woman arrived at the State Police Barracks and reported that her boyfriend was inside her residence. She advised that the boyfriend, David Brian Lloyd, 34, of Loveville, had been served with an order of protection earlier that morning. The order stated that Lloyd was not allowed in the residence of the victim.
Tpr. E. Evans responded to the residence and located Lloyd, who was arrested for violating a protective order and taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center.
Three hours later at 3: 50 p.m. Lloyd was arrested again on a warrant for 2nd degree assault.
The assault charges resulted from a complaint that Lloyd had attempted to smother the victim while sleeping.
Five days later, Tpr. K. Shughart spotted Lloyd seated inside of the residence next to the victim. Lloyd was again arrested for violating a protective order and taken to the St. Mary’s County Detention Center, processed and held pending a bail review.
