PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. – Iiiiiiit’s (almost) showtime!  The Children’s Theatre of Southern Maryland is pleased to introduce the Ghost With the Most and his league of undead friends to Calvert County in their production of Beetlejuice Jr. this week!

This is the 5th year that CTSMD has hosted its award-winning summer theatre intensive camps, in which students have just two weeks to go from audition to performance.

Beetlejuice Jr. (directed by Aly Cross, music directed by Neal Wentz, and choreographed by Jenn Habbert) stars 33 local performers ages 13-18, as well as a team of student techies, who have lived and breathed the show since the first day of camp on June 15.  Now they’re ready for their audiences!

Beetlejuice Jr. follows “strange and unusual” teen Lydia Deetz as she navigates life after the death of her mother, her father getting engaged to his life coach…and, oh yeah, a new house that is definitely haunted.  Will her new ghost friends be able to help her make some life (and death) improvements?  What follows is a madcap romp with catchy tunes, slapstick humor, and the characters you know and love from the classic Tim Burton film.
