On Oct. 1 at 8:58 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to Jimmy’s Corner Tavern at 16740 Prince Frederick Road in Hughesville for the report of an assault.
Investigation revealed the victim, 41, and the suspect, 43, were engaged in a physical altercation when the suspect struck the victim with an unknown object, causing a laceration. The suspect fled prior to police arrival and the victim was treated for non life- threatening injuries.
Officer C. Walden is continuing the investigation.
