Authorities in Calvert County have apprehended a suspect wanted in an assault that took place at Calvert Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Investigation revealed Calvert County Sheriff’s Officers and Maryland State Police responded to report of an assault that took place at the hospital. Prior to police arriving on the scene, the assault suspect fled in an unknown direction. Authorities began a search in and around the hospital. MSP Trooper 7 was also called to assist with the search.
Shortly after 2 p.m., a suspect matching the description of the wanted subject was observed along the wood line behind the Ledo Pizza located on Central Square Drive in Prince Frederick. The adult male was taken into custody and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.
The suspect had not yet been identified. No word on if any charges were made.
