MORGANZA, Md. — The Chopticon High School and Great Mills High School band programs are gearing up for a friendly “Battle of the Bands” fundraiser, but this battle is happening with beds, not brass.
The Battle of the Bands Mattress Fundraiser will take place Sunday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Chopticon High School, located at 25390 Colton Point Road in Morganza.
This one-day event features a showroom filled with brand-new, made-to-order mattresses, adjustable bases, pillows, and bedding accessories, all offered at 30 to 50 percent off retail pricing. All items come with full factory warranties.
Proceeds from sales will benefit the band programs at both Chopticon and Great Mills, helping fund travel expenses, equipment, and performance opportunities for student musicians as they prepare for the 2025 season.
Staff and volunteers will assist attendees with browsing products, testing mattresses, and making purchases. Credit, debit, and financing options are available, along with delivery and haul-away services.
The event is open to the public. Community members throughout St. Mary’s County and the surrounding areas are invited to stop by, support student musicians, and enjoy significant savings.
