Solomons, MD – The outdoor concert season in Southern Maryland is starting to take shape and a major country hit-maker, a singer who has acted on TV soaps and a West Coast band are all headed for an area stage.

Calvert Marine Museum (CMM) in Solomons has announced five shows in its Waterside Concert Series. The first and last shows—Chris Young on June 4 and Goo Goo Dolls Aug. 26—were previously announced.

Museum officials recently announced that Country Music star Toby Keith (pictured, left) is booked for Friday, June 17. Keith’s hits include “Beer For My Horses,” “I Wanna Talk About Me,” “How Do You Like Me Now?” and “Who’s Your Daddy?”

On Saturday, July 30 Rick Springfield will headline a show that will also feature Night Ranger and The Romantics. A native of Australia, Springfield’s solo career in music dates back to the late 1960s. He has also had a recurring role as a doctor on General Hospital.

On Friday, Aug. 19 the San Francisco-based rock group Train will headline a show also featuring Andy Grammer.

Tickets for the Toby Keith concert go on sale to CMM members Tuesday, May 3 with sales to the public scheduled for May 10.

Tickets for the show headlined by Rick Springfield will go on sale to CMM members Tuesday, May 17 at 10 a.m. with sales to the public May 24.

Train tickets will go on sale to CMM members June 21 at 10 a.m., with sales to the public June 28.
