The Calvert County Liquor Board unanimously approved an application for a transfer of license for a Solomons bistro at its Thursday, April 24 meeting. The application submitted by Xiao Ling Lin requested the transfer of a Class B (on sale beer, wine and liquor) license from the previous owner of the China Harbor Bistro in the Patuxent Plaza Shopping Center. The bistroโ€™s new owners and operators, Watermoon Inc., were represented by attorney David C. Weigel. The new ownership plans no changes to the restaurantโ€™s current layout.

โ€œI think they have a real professional attitude,โ€ said William Glascock, the owner of the shopping center who attended the meeting in support of his new tenants.

The board also heard from Jim Meunier of the Southern Maryland Sun and Fun Music Festival. The two-day event will be held June 7 and 8 at the Calvert County Fairgrounds. The festival will benefit six local charities. Meunier confirmed he will soon be submitting a formal application for a two-day beer and wine sales license for consideration at the boardโ€™s May meeting.
