PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. โ€“ย The Calvert County, Maryland, Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), will present its proposed Fiscal Year 2017 budget at a public hearing Tuesday, May 24, at the Calvert Pines Senior Center in Prince Frederick at 7 p.m. The $246.8 million balanced budget adheres to the BOCCโ€™s priorities for supporting an excellent public school system, maintaining county services and prudently managing citizensโ€™ tax dollars through responsible long-range planning and fiscal restraint.ย

In the budget are proposed increases to real property and income tax rates to remove the deficit shown in the Staff Recommended Budget presented in March.

Residents are encouraged to attend the public hearing. To review the BOCC proposed budget, please visit www.co.cal.md.us/FY2017Budget.
