BUSHWOOD, Md. — A go-kart caught fire while in motion Friday afternoon in Bushwood, with explosions reported as the vehicle became fully engulfed.
The incident was reported around 4:55 p.m. on May 1, 2026, in the area of Meadow Road and Longview Boulevard.
Emergency crews arriving on scene found the go-kart completely engulfed in flames, with callers reporting explosions coming from the vehicle as the fire intensified.
Seventh District Volunteer Fire Department firefighters quickly knocked down the blaze.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
