LEONARDTOWN, Md. — Boone’s Bagels & Marketplace officially opened its doors on Nov. 22 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new location at 41654 Fenwick Street in the heart of Leonardtown. The event, hosted in collaboration with the Town of Leonardtown, drew a crowd of local officials, residents, and curious customers eager to welcome the new bagel shop to the community.

Open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Boone’s offers a variety of fresh bagels alongside breakfast and lunch sandwiches, coffee beverages, and a curated selection of gourmet meats and cheeses. Guests can choose to dine in or take their meals to go.

The business has been building anticipation since announcing its plans in January, growing a loyal online following and generating buzz around its commitment to quality and community.

That excitement came to a head on opening day, when eager patrons lined the block in anticipation. Boone’s Bagels shared a post on Facebook describing the overwhelming support.
“WOW. Just… WOW,” the post read. “Today we opened the doors to Boone’s Bagels for the very first time and you all showed up in a way that left us absolutely speechless. We baked just shy of 2,000 bagels (yes, TWO THOUSAND) and slung over 140 POUNDS of cream cheese… and by the end of the day the cases were empty, the tubs were scraped clean, and our hearts were completely full.”
The post continued, “Our community started lining up 1 hour before we opened. The line went down the street and wrapped around the block! … You didn’t just show up—you made Boone’s Bagels Dream a reality.”

With its successful opening day and a strong show of support from the community, Boone’s Bagels appears poised to become a new staple in Leonardtown’s local food scene.
