WALDORF, Md. — For many in Waldorf, the spot on O’Donnell Place has long been more than just a restaurant — it’s been a go-to place to catch a game, meet friends and unwind after a long day. Now, that familiar space is getting a new name, with The Creek Sports Bar set to open Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Located at 10440 O’Donnell Place, the new restaurant will take over the Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, which will close Friday, April 24, 2026.
The restaurant reflected on its time in Waldorf in a Facebook post, writing, “You’ve made this place so much more than a restaurant, you’ve been the best part of every shift.” The message encouraged the community to stop in one last time, noting that while the doors may close, the memories created there will live on.

For those who frequented the restaurant, the transition may feel familiar, as an online flyer notes “same staff, same vibes, new name,” indicating the staff is expected to remain.
In the days leading up to the change, Boston’s is operating with a limited menu, a quiet wind-down that regular customers have already begun to notice as the space prepares for its next chapter.
That next step will bring more visible change. Plans are already in place for the business to temporarily close for short time for renovations.

The balance between old and new appears to be at the heart of the transition — keeping the atmosphere that made the location a staple, while introducing updated management and new offerings behind the scenes.
The BayNet has reached out to the new ownership team for additional details on the reopening, renovations and future plans. More information is expected to be shared soon.
For now, the message is simple for the community: the doors will reopen, the games will still be on, and a familiar hangout spot is getting a fresh start.
