At 3:23 p.m. Sept 8, Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 4000 block of Bluebird Drive in Waldorf for the report of an armed robbery.
Investigation revealed the two victims were in the yard area of the residence, when one of the victims, an 18-year-old Waldorf man, walked to his truck.
As he was returning to the yard, he was approached by the suspect brandishing a handgun. He ordered the victim to the ground.
The second victim, a 34-year-old Waldorf man was returning to the yard from the house when he saw the suspect and ran back into the residence to call police.
The suspect stole cash from the 18-year-old and fled the area.
Sgt. V. Weaver and his K9 partner found the suspects’ clothing and handgun in the woods near St. Patrick’s Drive.
