Leonardtown, MD — The Commissioners of St. Mary’s County, on a 3-2 vote, have ended the contentious Leonardtown Library site debate by choosing Hayden Farm over a location in downtown Leonardtown. The decision came during the commissioners’ regular Tuesday, May 12 meeting. Commissioner President Randy Guy and Commissioners Mike Hewitt and John O’Connor selected Hayden Farm, while Commissioners Tom Jarboe and Todd Morgan supported the downtown site.
