The base has received an all clear as of 1:14 p.m.
Sources have said that the building on lock down is number 416, also known as LIC Compound located behind the pool house.
Update from the Naval Air Station Patuxent River:
NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. – An employee called the base dispatch center this morning after receiving a bomb threat near a facility off of Cuddihy Road.
Cuddihy Road between Tate and Buse roads is currently closed to all traffic, while the area is cleared.
NCIS is investigating the incident.
Lexington Park, MD – Sources close to the story are reporting the entire Patuxent Naval Air Station is on lockdown due to a possible bomb threat. Sources have not confirmed if the threat is real or if it is part of an exercise. The lockdown went into effect during the mid-morning hours.
