Brenda Lee Grimes, 65, of Leonardtown, MD, passed away peacefully on April 22nd, 2026, at Medstar St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on September 7th, 1960, in Havre de Grace, MD, to Gary and Doris Gabbert.
Brenda graduated from Annapolis High School in 1978. After high school, she pursued a career as a hair stylist and barber. She then moved on to working with the configuration and wiring of computer motherboards, but continued to cut hair on the side throughout most of her life.
Brenda is the mother of two wonderful children, Glenn and Jessica. Brenda enjoyed crabbing, fishing, cooking, listening to country music, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Grimes (Julie) of Leonardtown, MD, and Jessica Walker (Zack) of Ridge, MD, and by her six grandchildren, Darren and Owen Grimes, and Marlee, Bradley, Wesley, and Riley Walker. She is also survived by her mother, Doris Gabbert (Lewis) of Bowie, MD, her brother Wayne Gabbert of Glen Burnie, MD, and her boyfriend, James Smith of Leonardtown, MD.
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Gary Gabbert, and her sister, Gale Gabbert.
Funeral services will be private.
