UPDATE 11:46 pm – The Fire Department is shutting the HVAC system down. The majority of the Fire Department are returning to an in service status at this time.
UPDATE 11:40 pm – The Fire Department is on the scene with nothing evident originally. Upon entering the building, however, firefighters found the lobby filled with fumes of smoke, and are actively investigating the incident.
According to sources familiar with the situation, there are “a lot” of firefighters on the scene that have dropped lines at hydrants. Command is advising a belt on an HVAC blower has caused the smoke. A bank representative has arrived on the scene.
Mechanicsville, Md. (11:29 pm) – A building fire has been reported at the County First Bank located on New Market Road off of Three Notch Road.
