Details on Fall Released
At 12:40 p.m. Aug. 3, Trooper D. Brill responded to a reported Industrial Accident in the 20000 block of Point Lookout Road in Great Mills.ย Upon arrival contact was made with a witness who advised a subject was injured from a fall.
Thomas Leroy Newton, 60 of Hollywood was on top of his tree trimming boom truck attempting to free the boom from telephone wires when he fell to the ground.
Newton fell approximately 15 feet and sustained a head injury.ย He was flown by MSP Trooper 7 to Prince Georges Shock Trauma where he was listed in stable condition.
Man Hit With Bottle
At 4:40 p.m. Aug. 6, TFC Fleetwood responded to the 41000 block of Connelly Street in Leonardtown for a reported assault which occurred on Friday, Aug. 3, at approximately 10:40 pm.ย The male victim advised he was struck in the head with a bottle as he was attempting to quiet a group of people at the playground.ย The unknown male suspect left the area and the investigation continues.
Unwanted in the Kitchen
At 12:44 a.m. Aug. 7, at 12:44 am, TFC E. Evans responded to a reported Burglary in the 45000 block of Happyland Road in Valley Lee.ย The complainant advised he was awakened by a loud noise and a subject in his kitchen with a flashlight.ย The unknown subject fled the residence.ย There was nothing taken from the residence and the investigation continues.
Power Washer Lifted
At 3 p.m. Aug. 9, TFC Rezza responded to a reported theft in the 39000 block of Golden Beach Road in Mechanicsville.ย Upon arrival contact was made with the male complainant who advised unknown suspect(s) took a 5hp Troy-Bilt power washer from the victimโs vehicle. The investigation is continuing.

Drunk and Disorderly Teen
At 8:40 p.m. Aug. 12, TFC Grimes responded to a reported disturbance in the 46000 block of Timber Valley Court in Lexington Park.ย Upon arrival, contact was made with a 16 year old male and an odor of alcohol was emitting from his breath.ย He was yelling outside and creating a disturbance.ย The juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct and transported to the Leonardtown Barrack for processing.ย He was later released to his father pending further action by Juvenile Services.
