The Calvert County Department of Public Works, Highway Maintenance Division, is seeking interested contractors for county snow removal efforts for the 2010-11 winter season.
Potential contractors should be able to employ the following types of equipment:
- One-ton truck with plow and full-size drop-in salt spreader, or;
- Six-wheel or 10-wheel dump truck with appropriate tailgate spreader.
Contractors of all sizes are welcomed, including those with a single truck. Once a list of potential contractors is developed, a meeting will be scheduled to review details of the proposal.
Interested contractors must submit a letter of interest to Calvert County Government, Purchasing Office, Courthouse, 175 Main Street, Prince Frederick, Md. 20678. Letters must be received no later than 2:30 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010. Submissions may also be e-mailed to destepcm@co.cal.md.us.
